When you join the team of  IAN MCILROY –Dispatcher Team Leader, you’ll enjoy a daytime schedule from Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm and a daily routine filled with stimulating tasks, earning a salary between $53 860 and $66 533 / year with an annual salary review.

  • Allocate deliveries on the correct equipment and routes respecting delivery times
  • Position drivers according to the correct sector (Truck Mate) and, if possible, in keeping with their personal constraints and following the three anchor points (customer - collaborator - profitability)
  • Monitor the pick-up and delivery status in Truck Mate
  • Communicate with the garage when required (breakdown, repair time, etc.)
  • Coordinate the removal of snow from trailers located in customers' yards where snow removal is not possible
  • Follow anomaly procedures according to each case
  • Organize drivers' work in accordance with Bill 430 (hours of service and rest)
  • Plan equipment required for customer needs (including cleanliness, type of trailer, etc.)
  • Plan so as to respect pick-up and delivery times and take action when pick-up is impossible
  • Answer calls and emails addressed to dispatching
  • Assign necessary resources in real-time in Truck Mate
  • Follow internal procedures of compilation in the event that a driver suffers a physical accident
  • Ensure that all units are positioned at the proper location
  • Verify that the physical inventory of remaining trailers balances with the Truck Mate inventory
  • Verify refrigeration and heating units
  • Verify and prepare all documents related to the operations
  • Perform all other related tasks

  • Diploma in Logisitics or Operations or equivalent experience ;
  • 2 to 5 years experience in dispatching LTL freights ;
  • Strong knowledge in Truckmate ;
  • Strong organizational skills and multitask ;
  • Sense of priority, rigor and teamwork ;
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively ;
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions ;
  • Strong logicial skills and making sure the freight are moving constantly ;
  • Knowledge of road transport laws and regulations (Bill 430) ;
  • Knowledge of ISAAC (asset) ;
